Job summary

Our Client, a leading provider in health and social care, seeks an experienced Interim Head of Care to lead the mobilisation of a new mental health residential service. You will set up operations, recruit and onboard staff, and establish safe, person-centred care from day one.

You will collaborate with senior management and external partners, develop policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive a high-quality service-launch plan within tight deadlines.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven interim management
experience within health, social care, or residential settings. Demonstrated success in mobilising or launching new services, or managing significant operational change. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and engage senior stakeholders. Experience in staff onboarding, team development, and operational planning under tight timeframes. Knowledge of regulatory requirements within care environments (regulatory experience beneficial). Ability to adapt rapidly, organise priorities, and deliver results at pace. Confidence in setting up effective working practices and operational procedures.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience working within mental health care environments. Knowledge of CQC standards and compliance requirements. Past involvement in projects related to discharge-focused or community-based care models.
