Job summary

Leaders in Care Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Interim Registered Manager to oversee 2–3 Learning Disability and Autism services across Liverpool and Cheshire. This hands-on leadership role requires stability, quality and strong operational oversight.

You will lead service managers and frontline teams, ensure safeguarding, CQC compliance and person-centred care, while travelling to sites to maintain high standards and drive improvements across the region.

Qualifications

• Registered Manager with regulated adult social care experience.
• Experience overseeing more than one service or the capability to do so.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, CQC compliance and quality governance.
• Willingness to travel across Liverpool and Cheshire as required.

Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for an interim opportunity where you can make an immediate impact across high-quality specialist services?

Leaders in Care is recruiting an Interim Registered Manager to oversee a small cluster of 2–3 residential Learning Disability and Autism services across Liverpool and Cheshire. Supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge, this is a hands‑on leadership assignment for a manager who can bring stability, quality and confident operational oversight.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership and established local teams to ensure services remain safe, compliant, person‑centred and outcomes‑focused.

The role As Interim Registered Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day‑to‑day leadership and operational performance of multiple services. You’ll provide visible leadership to service managers and frontline teams, supporting consistent standards of care across the region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing interim leadership across 2–3 Learning Disability and Autism services
• Supporting, motivating and developing service managers and staff teams
• Maintaining a strong safeguarding culture and responding effectively to operational concerns
• Ensuring care and support plans remain genuinely person‑centred
• Driving quality improvement, service stability and positive outcomes for the people supported
• Maintaining compliance with CQC requirements, legislation and internal policies
• Supporting recruitment, induction, retention and development of colleagues
• Coaching managers and teams to build capability, confidence and accountability
• Reviewing service performance, audits, incidents and action plans
• Working collaboratively with senior leaders, families, professionals and external stakeholders

What we’re looking for

We’re keen to speak with experienced Registered Managers, Peripatetic Managers or Operations Managers from a Learning Disability, Autism, complex care or specialist adult social care background.

You’ll bring:

• Previous Registered Manager experience within a regulated adult social care setting
• Experience overseeing more than one service, or the confidence and capability to do so
• A strong understanding of safeguarding, CQC compliance and quality governance
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs
• The ability to lead through change, bring structure to services and support teams positively
• A practical, visible and people‑focused leadership style
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, alongside relevant management experience
• Availability to travel across Liverpool and Cheshire as required
