Job summary

Danish Crown UK Ltd. is seeking an experienced Production Manager for a six-month interim assignment in Rochdale. You will take ownership of safety, quality, and output targets across active production lines on a rotating AM/PM shift.

You will lead shift supervisors and frontline staff, drive Lean improvements, and ensure adherence to SOPs while liaising with cross-functional teams to maintain continuous workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production or operations in an FMCG environment, preferably food manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching abilities with a hands-on style.
• Solid knowledge of Lean principles, safety, and quality compliance.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Ability to manage shifts and drive performance against targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead one production shift (AM or PM) to meet safety, quality and output targets.
• Oversee daily production, allocate tasks and manage workflows across lines.
• Develop and coach shift supervisors and frontline teams to improve performance.
• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Identify root causes of issues and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.
