Job summary

Morson Group is partnering with a high growth engineering and technology organisation to appoint an Interim Buyer. The role is a 6 month contract with potential extension, based in Manchester City Centre or Warrington.

You will deliver tactical and mid-complexity procurement across indirect categories, managing supplier portfolios, leading sourcing, negotiating terms and implementing contracts. 2-3 days on site per week with umbrella IR35 arrangements.

Qualifications

• Proven procurement or category management experience ideally working within a regulated environment.
• Ideally prior experience managing indirect categories such as IT, Corporate Services, Property, FM & Manufacturing.
• Strong stakeholder and supplier-management skills, with the ability to influence across multiple functions and levels.
• Experience managing sourcing activity, supplier negotiations, contracts and commercial outcomes from end to end.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tactical and mid-complexity procurement activity across a range of indirect categories.
• Manage defined supplier portfolios, lead sourcing activity, negotiate commercial terms and ensure effective contract implementation.
• Maintain a strong focus on value, continuity and governance.
