Job summary

YourRecruit is urgently seeking an experienced People Team Manager to join our Redhill and South Croydon sites on a temporary basis for approximately 6 weeks.

The role will lead a busy HR team, provide expert guidance across the employee lifecycle, manage complex employee relations, and work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to deliver a high‑quality People service. Start ASAP, 3 days per week, 8:45am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HR teams and providing strategic HR guidance.
• Strong employee relations and case management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting organisational change and restructures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• CIPD qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and manage a team of HR professionals, ensuring a high-quality People service.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and performance matters.
• Manage complex and sensitive HR casework.
• Partner with managers and senior leaders, providing pragmatic and commercially focused HR advice.
• Support organisational change, restructures and consultation processes.
• Drive attendance management and employee wellbeing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR policies and best practice.
• Maintain accurate employee records and contracts.
• Monitor people data and workforce trends, identifying areas for improvement.
• Work collaboratively with Payroll, Recruitment, Learning & Development and other key stakeholders.
• Act as a senior HR point of contact, providing operational leadership and support during the temporary assignment.
