Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking an Interim Operations Manager to lead frontline greenspace services across a Surrey-based locality. The role oversees parks, cemeteries, allotments, trees and countryside sites, ensuring safe, customer-focused delivery and strong stakeholder relations.

You will report to the Greenspaces Manager, drive service improvements, manage budgets and staff, and coordinate resources for hybrid, 36-hour weeks with an immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience managing operational services within a Local Authority or public sector.
• Background in parks, greenspaces, grounds maintenance, countryside or environmental operations.
• Strong people management of supervisors and frontline staff.
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and risk management.
• Experience managing budgets, resources, contractors and service performance.

Responsabilités

• Leading day-to-day parks and countryside operations.
• Managing and developing Team Leaders and frontline operational staff.
• Planning workloads, resources, vehicles, plant and equipment.
• Driving service improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
• Managing contractor performance and service standards.
• Overseeing risk assessments, inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Maintaining business continuity and emergency response arrangements.
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors and internal teams.
