Job summary

Health Recruit Network is seeking an Interim Registered Manager to stabilise a domiciliary care service in Worthing, West Sussex. The role is 6 months interim with options to extend, starting immediately, overseeing around 700 hours of personal care weekly and 200 hours of supportive tasks.

The charity setting values stability, mentoring, and continuity as it prepares a successor for the long-term RM role. Salary £45,000 per annum, commutable to Worthing and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager in domiciliary care.
• Strong CQC and safeguarding knowledge.
• Confident, calm, and stabilising leadership style.
• Experience coaching and developing successors.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide stable leadership of the domiciliary care service on an interim basis.
• Oversee approximately 700 hours per week of personal care.
• Support the small housekeeping, shopping, and befriending service (around 200 hours per week).
• Ensure full CQC compliance and person-centred care.
• Coach and mentor an internal colleague being developed for the RM role.
• Support the care and office team through the transition period.
• Maintain relationships with clients, families, and professionals.

Interim Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care Location: Worthing, West Sussex Salary: £45,000 per annum Hours: Full-Time | Interim, 6 months (with options to extend) Start: Immediate An established local charity operating care homes, domiciliary care, and day services is seeking an experienced Interim Registered Manager to stabilise its domiciliary care service in Worthing. This is not a turnaround — the service is performing well, and the focus is on providing stability, continuity, and mentoring an internal colleague being developed to take over the role longer term.

The Role

• Provide stable leadership of the domiciliary care service on an interim basis

The Service A well-regarded local charity delivering domiciliary care in the Worthing area, alongside three care homes and day services. The dom care operation currently covers around 700 hours per week of personal care and 200 hours per week of housekeeping, shopping, and befriending support.
