Job Details

Unique opportunity to join the Office of the General Counsel at a top-tier international law firm on a 12-month FTC basis to cover maternity leave. The role offers hybrid working (3 days/week in the office) with an option for part-time (4 days/week).

This position may suit a lawyer with experience in employment, corporate reorganizations, tax, governance, or regulatory law who is seeking a move away from fee-earning activities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the firm's Partnership Affairs team, advising on firm structure, partner arrangements, and related documentation.
• Provide legal advice on risks and compliance issues.
• Prepare legal recommendations for management on operational matters affecting the firm.
• Respond to queries from Partners.
• Support the firm's insurance renewal process.
• Engage in project-based work.
• Work extensively with senior stakeholders across the firm, including Partners and operational leaders.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should have at least 4+ years PQE, trained at a highly regarded firm, and be qualified in England & Wales. Strong technical legal skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
