MacGregor Black are partnering with a Global Manufacturing FMCG business to recruit an Interim HR Business Partner, based in Dudley. This role blends hands-on HR delivery with strategic partnering, giving you the opportunity to shape culture, influence leaders and drive people strategy on the ground.

You will balance ER excellence with developing a small HR team, partner with site leadership, and ensure policies and processes are compliant in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Broad HR generalist experience, ideally from a manufacturing, FMCG, or fast-moving operational setting.
• Strong employee relations expertise, able to manage complex cases with confidence.
• Credibility and resilience when partnering with senior stakeholders — comfortable challenging, influencing, and shaping decisions.
• Experience developing others or leading a small HR team.

MacGregor Black are partnering with a Global Manufacturing FMCG business on the search for a Interim HR Business Partner. This role is based in Dudley.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of escalation for complex ER cases, providing expert, pragmatic advice and ensuring compliance with company policy and employment law.
• Mentor and develop two onsite HR Advisors, building their confidence and professional capability.
• Partner with site leadership to influence people decisions, challenge constructively, and shape a positive, high-performance culture.
• Ensure HR policies, processes, and practices are consistent, compliant, and commercially aligned.
• Support the HR Manager with all aspects of HR delivery for a headcount of approximately 650 colleagues across a busy manufacturing site.
• Lead or contribute to initiatives that drive employee engagement, talent development, workforce planning, and retention.
• Provide credible HR leadership in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, ensuring HR delivers real business value.
