Qualifications

• Experienced Housing Maintenance Officer with hands-on repairs knowledge.
• Ability to supervise contractors and ensure safety/quality standards.
• Proven track record in managing repair schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Support the Property & Facilities Manager with repairs and maintenance, ensuring timely completion to high standards.
• Monitor and supervise contractors ensuring safety, certification and quality compliance.
• Check completed works before invoices are approved against budgets.
• Provide guidance on property alterations and rechargeable repairs per policy.
• Collaborate with Housing and other Council departments to improve performance.
• Carry out inspections of vacant properties for insurer requirements.
• Prepare schedules of work for larger repair projects.
