Job summary

Leaders In Care Ltd invites applications for an Interim Home Manager in Harrogate, a hands-on leadership role within a residential and dementia care setting. You will drive safe, person-centred care, ensure CQC compliance, and guide the care team through operational and quality challenges.

Immediate start available, with support from an experienced senior team. The role requires proven experience in managing a CQC-regulated home, safeguarding expertise, and the ability to maintain credibility

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a CQC-regulated care home.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and care governance.
• Experience leading teams through operational or quality challenges.
• Confident with audits, care planning, medication management and action planning.
• Ability to establish credibility quickly with staff, residents and families.
• Calm, organised and practical approach.
• Available to start at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible day-to-day leadership across the home.
• Maintain safe, person-centred care for residents.
• Support and direct the management and care team.
• Ensure CQC compliance and safeguarding duties.
• Review care plans, medication processes, risk assessments, audits and action plans.
• Manage staffing, rotas, agency use and recruitment requirements.
• Address performance, absence and capability matters appropriately.
• Build confidence with residents, families, commissioners and healthcare professionals.
• Manage incidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns effectively.
• Identify immediate risks and implement clear, sustainable improvements.
• Keep senior management updated on quality, workforce and operational performance.
