Interim Health & Safety Manager

Bradford / Leeds / Huddersfield / Halifax

Specialization: Capital equipment / Food / Process / FMCG / Production machinery

I am recruiting for a world-leading food manufacturer that requires an Interim Health & Safety Manager to join their team for a minimum 3–6-month contract. The position is based on-site in West Yorkshire, with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing Health, Safety, and Environment Management systems and activities
• Applying relevant technical guidance to control hazards and potential risks
• Responding to incidents and reporting KPIs
• Reporting to the H&S Director and executive team daily
• Facilitating a risk assessment program for continuous review
• Maintaining databases, monitoring trends, and identifying improvement opportunities

Candidate Attributes:

• Proven track record in H&S within Food and/or Beverage industries
• Mechanical background, including conveyors, baggers, packers, palletisers, hoppers
• Ability to interact with and manage internal and external labor
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
