Job summary

Principal People Recruitment is partnering with a well-established ground engineering organisation to appoint an Interim Health and Safety Advisor for a 6-month contract based in the Bedford area, with site travel from Milton Keynes to Cambridge. The role covers site inspections, safety inductions, toolbox talks, accident investigations, and health and safety reporting.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General qualification (or equivalent).
• CSCS Card (or willing to obtain one).
• BPSS checked or able to pass one.
• Experience in civils, groundworks, piling, excavations, utilities, etc.
• Experience with temporary works / lifting operations desirable.
• Available to start at short notice.
• Engaging, strong communicator able to liaise at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Undertake site inspections and provide general health and safety advice.
• Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks.
• Investigate accidents and incidents.
• Prepare health and safety reporting and related documentation.
• Support project teams with health and safety coordination as required.

Principal People are excited to be partnered with a well-established specialist ground engineering organisation, who are looking for an Interim Health and Safety Advisor to join them on a 6-month contract, working on one of their projects with a prestigious client of theirs. This role will be based in the Bedford area with site travel when required spanning from Milton Keynes to Cambridge. The successful candidate will be working an operational role undertaking site inspections, general health and safety advice, safety inductions, toolbox talks, accident investigation and health and safety reporting amongst other duties. They are looking for a strong verbal communicator and the role is to pay a daily rate of £(Apply online only)/day (Outside IR35). They are looking to onboard as soon as possible.

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will:

• NEBOSH General qualified (or Equivalent)
• Hold a valid CSCS Card (or willing to obtain one)
• Be Baseline Security (BPSS) checked or able to pass one.
• Experience within civils, groundworks, piling, excavations, utilities etc
• Experience of temporary works / lifting operations is desirable
• Be available to start at short notice
• Be an engaging, strong communicator able to liaise at all levels.
