Job summary

Morgan Law, on behalf of a charity, seeks an Interim Head of Technology Services to lead the IT support function and drive service improvement projects. You will manage the IT outsourcer and suppliers, ensure cyber security and safe, fit-for-purpose applications, and guide modernization, automation and cost optimisation for the organisation.

Qualifications

Strong experience delivering technology infrastructure for similar organisations.
Proven procurement and supplier-management experience across tech stacks.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra and Defender security tools.
Excellent IT service management and cyber security expertise.
Experience managing IT budgets and cost optimisation.
Relevant degree and/or ITIL, Microsoft and cyber security certifications.
Ability to manage multiple projects and contracts with stakeholders.
Understanding of GDPR and data protection regulations.
Mentoring and developing junior staff.

Responsibilities

Oversee IT support function through effective contract management with outsourcers.
Manage IT supplier relationships including telephony and value for money.
Provide hands-on problem solving as needed to resolve issues.
Give technical guidance to teams managing their own applications and systems.
Act as trusted advisor to SMT, delivering modernisation, automation and cost optimisation.
Approve purchases of software and services ensuring security and alignment with standards.
