Job summary

We Do Social Work is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Service to provide strategic leadership across Children in Our Care, Care Leavers and Disabled Children and Young People’s Services. The role oversees safeguarding, permanence planning and service delivery during a 4 month interim period, with potential extension.

You will lead partnerships with health and education, manage complex placement challenges, and drive improvements while permanent recruitment is underway.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in children's social care and safeguarding.
• Experience leading complex services and improvement journeys.
• Strong partnership working with health, education and multi-agency partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across Children in Care, Care Leavers and Disabled Children’s Services.
• Maintain safeguarding standards, permanence planning and effective service delivery.
• Drive improvements in outcomes for children and young people and families.
• Support Families First, reunification and service improvement agendas.
