Job summary

Consult is seeking an Interim Head of Compliance in London to lead the compliance function for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role requires strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, guiding the team and advising senior management on complex regulatory matters.

The candidate will drive the compliance framework, own the Compliance Plan, manage regulatory risk, and engage with regulators and stakeholders to ensure Lloyd's/London Market standards are met.

Interim Head of Compliance

12 month FTC

£150k per annum

I’m working with a London Market insurance business looking to appoint an experienced Interim Head of Compliance to lead the compliance function and act as a key adviser to senior management.

The role will include:

• Leading and developing the compliance framework
• Ownership and delivery of the Compliance Plan
• Providing senior-level advice on complex and high-risk compliance matters
• Managing and mitigating compliance risk across the business
• Providing oversight around conflicts of interest
• Advising on regulatory developments and their impact on the business
• Leading the Compliance team and promoting a strong compliance culture
• Working closely with the managing agent and wider regulatory stakeholders

We’re looking for someone with strong London Market/Lloyd’s insurance compliance experience, who is comfortable operating at senior level and can combine strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery.
