Job summary

Anne Corder Recruitment Ltd is seeking a technically strong Financial Controller / Management Accountant for a Peterborough-based professional services organisation on an initial 4-month assignment. Hybrid working is available and a day rate of £350 - £400 per day is offered based on experience.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with proven experience in management accounting and strong accounting knowledge, ideally within a professional services environment.

Job description

I'm recruiting on behalf of a professional services organisation based in Peterborough seeking a technically strong and commercially minded Financial Controller / Management Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 4-month assignment.

The Role

You will be responsible for the preparation of management accounts and financial reporting, managing the month-end close process and providing detailed variance analysis. You will also oversee balance sheet reconciliations, maintain robust financial controls and ensure accurate and timely financial information.

The Ideal Candidate

You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), with proven experience as a Financial Controller or Management Accountant and strong technical accounting knowledge.

You will be organised, detail-oriented and confident working to deadlines, with the ability to communicate financial performance effectively. Experience within a professional services such as accountancy or consultancy environment is highly desirable.

Hybrid working is available and we are offering a day rate of £350 - £400 per day depending on experience.
