Job summary

Morgan McKinley (South West) is seeking an experienced Group Financial Accountant for an initial 3-6 month contract on the outskirts of Chippenham. The role requires a technically strong accountant who can hit the ground running with minimal support and manage deadlines for group accounts and consolidations.

Candidates ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent are preferred, with experience in intercompany eliminations, year-end statutory accounts, and liaison with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Must have typical Group Financial Accountant experience and be technically strong.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Available at short notice for immediate 3-6 month assignment.
• Willingness to commit to the full 3-6 month duration.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly Group management and financial accounts.
• Group consolidations with intercompany eliminations and reconciliations.
• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and schedules.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and review of control accounts.
• Liaison with external auditors for year-end files.
• Intercompany accounting, reconciliations and error resolution.
• Fixed asset accounting and depreciation.
• Accruals, prepayments, provisions and other month-end journals.
• Support Group Finance on ad hoc technical projects.
