Job summary

Melber Flinn is seeking an experienced interim General Manager to lead Theatres and Anaesthetics within the Surgery Division of an acute trust in the Midlands.

The role is Band 8c, initially 6 months, starting mid-October with a handover from the outgoing GM. On-site work; days per week to be confirmed. The remit focuses on theatre transformation, utilisation, GIRFT hub accreditation, and supporting a business case for increased anaesthetic staffing.

Interim General Manager, Theatres and Anaesthetics

Melber Flinn is looking for an experienced interim General Manager to lead Theatres and Anaesthetics within the Surgery Division of an acute trust in the Midlands.

Start mid-October, with a couple of weeks handover from the outgoing GM

On-site working, days per week to be confirmed

Rate to be confirmed

We are after someone with a solid Theatres and Anaesthetics background, ideally someone who has done a GM role in that area before. The remit will be focused on theatre transformation and utilisation, GIRFT hub accreditation and supporting a business case for a significant increase in anaesthetic staffing. The division itself is stable and well run, with a strong matron base and a well regulated ICU, so this is about keeping things moving and building on what is already there rather than firefighting.
