Job summary

apetito is seeking a detail-focused Food Technologist to join our New Product Development team at our UK Head Office in Trowbridge for a fixed-term contract of five and a half months. You will review and maintain product and ingredient information, collecting data from suppliers and ensuring accuracy to meet apetito and legislative requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience checking raw material specifications for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with implementing food legislation for end consumer delivery.
• Able to manage multiple projects and coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Strong numerical skills to support recipe calculations and data checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise a busy workload of specification reviews, including new products and 3-year reviews.
• Collaborate with suppliers to prepare and maintain accurate raw material specifications.
• Obtain timely stakeholder approvals for specifications.
• Keep product, recipe and specification data up to date in internal systems.
• Monitor legislative changes and implement them where relevant.
