apetito is seeking an Interim Development Technologist to join the Wiltshire Farm Foods programme in the UK. The role involves working in development and factory kitchens to deliver a rolling 12-month plan, testing concepts, and coordinating with category development and stakeholders to push the boundaries of great food.

You will collaborate with the Senior Developer, manage projects, and ensure nutrition, cost, and quality improvements while maintaining a strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• Essential: Food Science/Technology degree or proven experience in a similar role.
• Essential: Experience in food manufacturing.
• Essential: Background in prepared meals categories.
• Essential: Proven track record in food product development.
• Essential: Strong culinary or sensory evaluation skills.
• Essential: Strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Wiltshire Farm Foods development programmes from concept to launch.
• Lead factory trials and write raw material briefs for procurement.
• Costing and assessing nutrition of new concepts.
• Lead stage gate meetings with stakeholders and share product information with factory teams.
• Deliver market-leading, proactive product development with quality and cost improvements.
