Job summary

Omniplex Learning seeks an Interim Financial Controller for a 12-month fixed-term engagement in the United Kingdom. You will provide hands-on leadership across transactional finance, strengthen controls and drive practical process improvements, while acting as the senior technical point for accounting, reporting and audits.

You will oversee sales ledger, credit control and purchase ledger, lead the transactional Finance team, and push for automation and standardisation to reduce manual effort

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong control of sales ledger, credit and purchase ledger.
• Proven ability to improve debt collection and overdue receivables.
• Experience with month-end and balance sheet control.
• Experience supporting external audits and statutory reporting.
• Experience with finance systems improvement (NetSuite, Tipalti, Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Lead sales ledger and credit control with debt collection strategy.
• Oversee purchase ledger operations with accurate invoicing and supplier onboarding.
• Lead and develop the transactional Finance team for clear ownership and resilience.
• Deliver improvements across transactional finance using systems, automation and standardisation.
• Maintain ledger integrity and oversee reconciliations and month-end activities.
• Support management reporting, year-end close and external audits.
