Job summary

Elevate Search Ltd is partnering with an established, fast-paced organisation to recruit an experienced Financial Controller for a six-month fixed term contract in London. This hands-on role requires building credibility across the business and driving improvements within the finance function.

You will lead month-end close, maintain balance sheet integrity, manage cash flow forecasting and working capital, and support budgeting and commercial decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience as Financial Controller or senior finance role (hands-on).
• Proven ability to drive process improvements in finance.
• Strong commercial mindset and ability to challenge existing ways of working.
• Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or PQE with relevant senior experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close and production of management accounts.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity with reconciliations, accruals and provisions.
• Review and strengthen financial controls and processes.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital.
• Oversee WIP, project accounting, accruals and revenue recognition.
• Improve reporting, systems, automation and data quality.
• Support audit requirements and external advisors.
• Lead and support the existing finance team.
• Work closely with operational and senior stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision-making.
