Job summary

Global Gaming Content and Technology Organisation seeks an Interim Financial Controller to provide senior-level oversight across the finance function on an initial 6-month assignment in London. The role will be diagnostic and hands-on, strengthening processes, controls and data quality.

The successful candidate will review balance sheets, lead month-end closes and collaborate with operational teams to deliver disciplined financial management and a longer-term finance operating model.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong financial accounting foundations.
• Experience in gaming or tech environment.
• Experience as Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or equivalent.
• Strong multinational / multi-entity accounting background.
• Excellent balance sheet and reconciliation skills.
• Strong IFRS knowledge.
• Naturally investigative, able to trace issues through journals and data.
• Hands-on rather than purely supervisory.
• Advanced Excel/data analysis capabilities.
• D365 experience desirable.
• Experience with finance transformation/remediation or post-ERP implementations useful.

Responsibilities

• Take senior oversight of financial accounting and month-end activities.
• Assess current finance environment and identify gaps in process, ownership, controls and data quality.
• Perform detailed balance sheet reviews and understand underlying balances.
• Review reconciliations and challenge aged, unsupported or unexplained items.
• Review GL activity and trace issues back through journals and data.
• Investigate recurring accounting and reporting issues and identify root causes.
