IFF Talent - Ingham Frankland Fide is seeking an interim UK accountant to take control of the UK accounting function during a major transformation. You will handle reporting, VAT, tax, and liaise with auditors and HMRC to ensure compliance.

The role offers a clear brief with a six-to-nine-month horizon, and observably you will influence improvements and leave a positive legacy on finishing the assignment. Three days on site in North Yorkshire with two remote days.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with IFRS and UK GAAP experience.
• Strong VAT and corporation tax knowledge.
• Experience liaising with external auditors and HMRC.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of UK accounting and reporting.
• Manage VAT, corporation tax, and year-end processes.
• Engage with auditors and HMRC to ensure compliance.
• Identify process improvements and establish best practices.
• Work arrangement: 3 days on site in North Yorkshire, 2 days remote; potential second Yorkshire site.

What six to nine months gets you

• Authority. You become the person people ask, across UK GAAP, IFRS, VAT and corporation tax.
• Scope. Interim hands you the whole picture, which usually takes a promotion.
• An international group on your CV, then your pick of what comes next.
• A week that works. Three days on site in North Yorkshire, two remote, with a second Yorkshire site possible to work at depending on where you live.

We are thinking of qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountants with strong IFRS and UK GAAP who have worked alongside external auditors.

SAP or multinational/multi-entity experience is a bonus.
