Job Description:

Our PE-backed software client requires an Interim Financial Controller for an initial 6-month period. Reporting to the CFO and with offices near Birmingham, the role involves spending approximately 3 days on-site per week. Overnight expenses can be covered if necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the rollout of a new ERP system, embedding best practices and improving data integrity and reporting
• Manage the balance sheet, ensuring revenue recognition and reporting accuracy
• Manage and mentor a small finance team, driving improvements and automation
• Oversee cyclical controllership duties, including monthly close, year-end, and audit preparation

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Experience in B2B or software/tech sectors is advantageous
• Background in private equity-backed or fast-growth environments
• Hands-on approach with experience managing lean teams and engaging with senior stakeholders
