Job Description:

Charity People are working with a £10 million turnover NGO to help recruit an Interim Financial Controller for 3-6 months based in Hemel Hempstead.

The organisation's working week is 4 days, with a salary of £62,539 for four days per week.

The client is looking for the right candidate to start early June 2025.

Salary: £62,539 for four days per week

Must be: very strong on Charity SORP and statutory accounts

Led on system upgrade or implementation

Hybrid: Going to Hemel Hempstead twice a week

Key responsibilities:
  • Completion of annual accounts and audit (client is in the final stages of the annual audit)
  • Coordinate financial system upgrade (manage and work closely with the Project Manager to lead the upgrade). The interim Financial Controller will manage the project manager. The project has just started and the finance system has already been selected.
  • Lead payments, accounts payable and receivable teams. One team member is relatively new.
  • Follow up on audit findings.

This role will close on 4th June 2025.
