Job description

Charity People is working with a £10 million turnover NGO to recruit an Interim Financial Controller for a 3-6 month contract based in East London.

The organisation offers a 4-day work week with a salary of £62,539 for four days per week.

The ideal candidate should start in early June 2025.

Key Details:

• Salary: £62,539 for four days per week
• Must have: strong knowledge of Charity SORP and statutory accounts
• Experience with: system upgrade or implementation
• Work arrangement: Hybrid, with visits to East London twice a week

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Complete annual accounts and facilitate the final stages of the audit
2. Coordinate the financial system upgrade, managing the project and working closely with the Project Manager
3. Lead the payments, accounts payable, and receivable team, including managing a relatively new team member
4. Follow up on audit findings

This role will close on 4th June 2025.
