Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking an Interim Financial Controller for a Havant-based SME for a four-month period to lead the finance function during a time of change.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will deliver statutory returns, monthly analysis by product/division, and management accounts with budgeting and reforecasting. The role is office-based with a daily rate reflecting experience and responsibilities.

Distribution Group based in Havant, Hampshire has a requirement for an Interim Financial Controller for a 4-month period to undertake the day-to-day management of the finance function during a period of change and transition.

What will the Interim Financial Controller role involve?

Reporting to the Managing Director, the key responsibilities of the Interim Financial Controller position will include:

• Preparation of all statutory returns and liaising with external auditors.
• Provision of monthly analysis and results providing insight on performance by product and division to aid business planning and strategic decision making.
• Production of monthly management accounts, overseeing the annual budgeting process and associated monthly reforecasting providing commentary on any variances.
• Ensure that all internal controls and processes are in line with group standards and external requirements.

• Applicants for the position will be available on short notice and have previous experience of working with a similar position within an SME environment.
