Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant through the CFO Solutions – Finance Placements. You’ll work on varied client engagements, providing accounting expertise on interim projects and supporting finance teams in consolidation, statutory reporting, and audits.

Based in Birmingham or surrounding areas, you will join a community of interim professionals and engage with clients across sectors, handling half and full-year-end accounts and financial reporting with

Qualifications

Fully qualified member of a professional accounting body (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
Experience in industry with annual turnover of £50m+ and in listed FTSE or Top 20 practice in financial/statutory accounting.
Experience preparing half and full-year-end accounts, audit liaison and monthly management accounts.
Group Accounts consolidation and intercompany accounting.
Financial reporting under IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP, or international GAAP.
Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audits.

Responsibilities

Engage on short- to medium-term interim finance projects within CFO Solutions – Finance Placements.
Support clients’ finance functions during periods of change and challenge.
Collaborate with client finance teams, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.
