Job summary

RECfinancial are currently shortlisting for an Interim Financial Accountant on behalf of a Leicester-based client. This role focuses on taking full ownership of the balance sheet, delivering high-quality financial reporting and ensuring robust controls on an ongoing basis.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will drive month-end and year-end close, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide financial insights to influence business decisions.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualification is required.
• Experience in financial accounting and reporting is essential.
• Candidates with strong technical accounting skills will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the balance sheet and lead month-end and year-end processes.
• Maintain robust financial controls and ensure integrity of reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Handle VAT, corporation tax and statutory filings.
