Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own key areas of month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Prepare and review technical accounting papers and treatments.
• Apply IFRS across complex accounting matters.
• Provide IFRS 15/16 technical support.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support statutory accounts and year-end reporting.
• Support audit process and liaise with auditors.
• Review accounting processes to improve controls.
• Provide analysis and insights to senior finance stakeholders.

Interim Financial Accountant Technical Accounting

Central London | SaaS | Interim | Immediate Start

I'm working with a well established SaaS business that has been operating for over 20 years, combining the stability of an established organisation with the pace and ambition of a growing technology business. With the finance team at the heart of the business, this is an exciting opportunity for an Interim Financial Accountant to join their Central London office and play a key role across financial reporting, month end and technical accounting. This is a hands on opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys getting into the detail, solving complex accounting matters and partnering with the wider finance function. You'll be joining a business with strong foundations and ambitious growth plans, giving you the opportunity to make an immediate impact within an experienced finance team. The role would suit someone who is technically strong, commercially minded and comfortable working in a fast paced SaaS environment, with the opportunity to work closely with senior finance stakeholders and gain broad exposure across an established technology business.

Key Responsibilities

• Own key areas of the month end close and financial reporting process
• Prepare and review technical accounting papers and accounting treatments
• Apply IFRS across a range of complex accounting matters
• Provide technical accounting support around IFRS 15 and IFRS 16
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year end reporting
• Work closely with auditors and support the delivery of the audit process
• Review existing accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve controls
• Provide clear analysis and insight to senior finance stakeholders

About You

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Strong technical accounting and IFRS knowledge
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or Senior Financial Accountant
• Strong month end, balance sheet and financial reporting experience
• Experience working within a SaaS or technology business is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and or IFRS 16
• Comfortable producing technical accounting papers and supporting audit processes
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to tight deadlines
