Morgan Law is seeking an Interim Finance Business Partner for Children Services in London on a 6-month contract. The role covers budget preparation for the service area and development of complex staffing budgets following reorganisations.

You'll deliver monthly monitoring with variance analysis, support internal audit responses, and provide senior-level financial guidance to Service Directors and Budget Managers. ThisLondon-based role requires strong authority in local authority finance.

Formación

• CCAB or CIMA qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• High level of attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a range of stakeholders.
• Experience in Children’s Social Care within a local authority environment.
• Strong strategic finance business partnering experience in a local authority.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare the annual budget for the service area, including staffing budgets after reorganisations.
• Prepare monthly budget monitoring reports with variance analysis and clear financial commentary.
• Respond to external audit queries and provide supporting documentation.
• Provide high-level financial advice and support to the Service Director and Senior Managers.
• Maintain the corporate grants register and financial training materials; deliver training to Budget Managers.
