Job Description

• Conduct year-end duties according to the timetable.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reconcile acquisitions and disposals of force assets.
• Control and coordinate specialist functions, ensuring accurate coding, recording, and monitoring of costs.
• Analyze and update staff costings, special costings, and national framework agreement costings.
• Assist with completing external government returns.
• Complete month-end tasks, working with BI and reports.
• Handle ad hoc requests for financial data.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Interim Finance Officer will have:

• A full AAT qualification or be working towards it.
• Experience in a financial environment, including budget control and year-end procedures.
• Ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret financial information.
• Experience using a computerised financial system in a medium to large organisation.
• Experience working with a general ledger.
• Knowledge of financial controls, rules, and regulations.
• Experience with Oracle is an advantage but not essential.
• Experience in the public sector is an advantage but not essential.
