Job summary

Saga Group is seeking an Interim Assistant Finance Manager to join our Travel Finance team for a 12-month contract. The role covers cash flow, forecasting, and regulatory reporting, supporting both Cruise and Holidays businesses.

You will work with Finance, operations and commercial teams to ensure accurate financial information and drive improvements. Hybrid working from home and Folkestone, with a minimum of 3 days in the Folkestone office.

Qualifications

• Professional accountancy qualification required.
• Experience in interim/finance management roles.
• Strong communication and attention to detail essential.
• Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Office and relevant financial systems.
• Proactive in identifying gaps and addressing them.

Responsibilities

• Own cash flow and working capital reporting and forecasting across travel entities.
• Support foreign currency forecasting and Treasury policy alignment.
• Manage regulatory reporting (CAA/ATOL/ABTA) and compliance deadlines.
• Act as main Finance contact for regulatory audits.
• Coordinate finance input for emissions reporting and data accuracy.
• Support month-end management accounting and ad-hoc requests.
• Assist process improvements and ensure actions are followed up.
