Interim Finance Manager

Location: East Midlands - Hybrid
Salary: £70K to £75K
Contract: 6 months

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the management accounting and month-end reporting process for a north Nottingham business.

You will quickly develop a strong understanding of the business, take ownership of the month-end process and build strong relationships with an established finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the month-end process and management reporting
• Lead and support an established management accounts team
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly financial information
• Provide meaningful financial commentary for inclusion within the board pack
• Review results, identify key movements and ensure the numbers are clearly understood
• Work closely with the wider finance function to continually improve the month-end process

About You

We are looking for someone with a strong management accounting background combined with genuine people leadership experience.

You'll be comfortable taking ownership of month-end and reporting, but importantly, you'll be able to go beyond simply producing the numbers. You should be confident interpreting results and providing useful commentary to senior finance stakeholders.

You'll also need to be a thoughtful and credible leader.

Ideally, you'll have:

• A strong management accounting and financial reporting background
• Previous experience leading finance teams
• Strong month-end ownership and reporting skills
