Job description

Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team in Coventry. This is a stand-alone role, in which you will take ownership of a key business entity, with responsibilities including month-end financial closure, financial forecasting/reporting, and ensuring compliance with SOx requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Controller to support different business units.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving the financial success of our client's operations. You will take full ownership of a key business entity, responsible for month-end financial closure and accurate financial forecasting/reporting. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining compliance with SOX requirements and overseeing the overall control structure.

1. Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and overall control structure
2. Ensure timely budgeting and forecasting on a monthly basis
3. Provide effective information to local Engineering Managers & Program Managers, UK Divisional Finance team, European Corporate Finance teams
4. Complete general ledger entries, corporate reporting, working with key stakeholders to ensure the achievement of key targets, metrics and forecast commitments
5. Provide forecast data to management for use in business decisions

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position brings extensive experience from a financial accounting environment. You are fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA or equivalent) and possess excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel. Experience working with HFM / Hyperion is preferred, as is manufacturing/automotive industry experience. Your strong communication skills enable you to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely to senior management.
