Job summary

CPL UK is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller in London to lead the finance function during a period of expansion and system enhancements.

This hands-on role requires a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA professional able to drive robust financial reporting, controls and treasury management, while building a high-performing finance team. The assignment focuses on process improvements and governance across multiple sites, with an immediate start and office-based four days a week.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience at Financial Controller level.
• Strong governance, controls and compliance knowledge.
• Experience leading finance teams across sites is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance team with coaching and development.
• Oversee month-end close, statutory reporting and audit processes.
• Ensure robust financial reporting and governance across sites.
• Drive finance systems enhancements and process improvements.
• Manage cashflow, treasury, payroll, VAT and fixed assets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support growth initiatives.
