Job summary

Airedale Solutions Ltd. is seeking an experienced Interim Management / Financial Accountant to lead financial accounting and reporting for the Sprint business unit.

You will own the month-end close, produce management accounts, and maintain P&L and balance sheet with robust controls while delivering timely insights to support strategic decisions across the business. Occasional travel to other Airedale offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting background.
• Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems; Sage Intacct desirable.
• Excel and financial systems skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced interim environment.
• Willingness to travel to other Airedale offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead all financial accounting and reporting activities for the Sprint business unit.
• Manage the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Produce accurate management accounts and financial reports.
• Maintain P&L and balance sheet with data integrity.
• Provide variance analysis and insightful commentary on financial performance.
• Partner with operational stakeholders to support key decisions.
• Manage and develop a two-person team handling invoicing and billing.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.
• Utilise the Sage finance system to maximise reporting capabilities.
• Support project accounting, cost tracking and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.
