Hays are partnering with an education organisation in Exeter to recruit an experienced Interim Finance Business Partner on a long-term contract.

This role focuses on providing meaningful financial insight, partnering with budget holders and operational stakeholders to aid strategic decision-making across a complex organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience as Finance Business Partner or Senior Management Accountant.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to translate financial information into clear business insight.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.

Hays are delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded education organisation in Exeter to recruit an experienced Interim Finance Business Partner on a long-term contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional to join a collaborative finance team and play a key role in supporting financial performance across a complex and evolving organisation.

The RoleReporting into senior finance leadership, you will work closely with budget holders and operational stakeholders, providing meaningful financial insight and support to aid strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and planning processes.
• Providing detailed financial analysis and performance commentary.
• Business partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
• Identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Supporting year-end processes and audit requirements.
• Developing financial models and enhancing management information.
• Contributing towards a range of finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About YouTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• The ability to translate financial information into clear business insight.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.
• PQ, QBE or ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Previous education sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
