Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is searching for an Interim Estates Surveyor for a Midlands Local Authority. The role is hybrid, 1 day on site per week, and runs for 6 months. Responsibilities include managing a mixed property portfolio and leading landlord and tenant negotiations.

The successful candidate will have MRICS (preferred) or equivalent experience, strong estates management capabilities, and adept stakeholder engagement in a public sector setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience negotiating leases and managing industrial/commercial property portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of industrial and commercial properties.
• Lead on landlord and tenant matters including lease renewals, rent reviews, lease re-gears, assignments, licences to alter, and licences to assign.
• Negotiate and complete new leases in line with organisational objectives.
• Provide professional estates management advice to internal stakeholders.
• Manage lease events and ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
• Instruct and manage external agents, solicitors, and valuers where required.
• Support income generation and asset management initiatives.
• Maintain accurate property records and contribute to asset management systems.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management.

Are you an experienced Estates Surveyor looking for your next interim opportunity?

We are recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in the Midlands seeking an Interim Estates Surveyor to join their Property & Estates team on an initial 6 month contract. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home alongside one day per week on site, managing a varied and interesting property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of predominantly industrial and commercial properties.
• Lead on landlord and tenant matters, including lease renewals, rent reviews, lease re-gears, assignments, licences to alter, and licences to assign.
• Negotiate and complete new leases in line with organisational objectives.
• Provide professional estates management advice to internal stakeholders.
• Manage lease events and ensure compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.
