Job summary

RM Recruit is partnering with a Birmingham Academy Trust to recruit an experienced Finance Manager for an interim role of approximately six months.

The role includes assisting with the Budget Forecast Return (BFR), preparing the Trust for the August Year-End Audit, and overseeing balance sheet remediation with a focus on capitalisation and fixed assets. ACA/CIMA/ACMA/CIPFA qualification is preferred, though Qualified by Experience will be considered.

Qualifications

• Financial planning and forecasting experience within education or similar sector.
• Strong understanding of statutory financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Budget Forecast Return (BFR) and prepare for the August Year-End Audit.
• Balance Sheet oversight with emphasis on capitalisation, fixed assets, and balancing accounts.
• Assist with other finance duties as directed by the Finance Director.
