Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting an interim Credit Control professional in Manchester to help keep the finance function organised by managing customer payment activity and maintaining clear account records.

You will chase outstanding payments, review credit limits, allocate cash and produce aged debt reports for management, collaborating with Sales, Customer Service and Operations to improve cash flow. The role is a 2-3 month assignment with a salary of £30,000 to £33,000 dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing customer accounts and following up outstanding payments.
• Confidence reviewing invoices, balances and account information accurately.
• Ability to keep clear records of customer contact and agreed payment actions.
• Good attention to detail when updating finance records and checking account data.

Responsibilities

• Chasing outstanding payments and reducing aged debt.
• Managing customer queries, disputes and payment plans.
• Reviewing credit limits and releasing orders on hold.
• Allocating cash, reconciling accounts and processing refunds.
• Producing aged debt and cash collection reports for management.
• Working closely with Sales, Customer Service and Operations to resolve issues and improve cash flow.
