Job summary

Confidential is seeking an interim Credit Control professional in Manchester to manage customer payment activity, chase outstanding debt and maintain accurate account records within the finance function.

You will collaborate with Sales, Customer Service and Operations to resolve queries, review credit limits, allocate cash and produce aged debt reports. This 2-3 month assignment offers exposure to a supportive team and a focused cash-flow remit.

Qualifications

• Experience managing customer accounts and following up outstanding payments.
• Ability to review invoices and account data accurately.
• Clear records of customer contact and agreed payment actions.
• High attention to detail when updating finance records and checking account data.
• Ability to manage priorities and complete payment follow-up tasks promptly.
• Clear communication with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Chasing outstanding payments and reducing aged debt.
• Managing customer queries, disputes and payment plans.
• Reviewing credit limits and releasing orders on hold.
• Allocating cash, reconciling accounts and processing refunds.
• Producing aged debt and cash collection reports for management.
• Working closely with Sales, Customer Service and Operations to resolve issues and improve cash flow.
