Job summary

Marsden is seeking a Corporate & Commercial Lawyer for a 12‑month fixed-term contract to support the company’s M&A activity and provide broad in-house legal coverage.

You will draft and negotiate transaction documents, commercial agreements, and advise on governance and regulatory matters in a fast-growth consumer business environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with England & Wales or comparable common law qualification.
• Strong track record in M&A transactions including drafting and negotiating deal documents.
• Experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating across the business.

We are working with an international consumer brands business who is seeking an Interim Corporate Counsel (M&A) to join its legal team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a entrepreneurial environment where you will play a key role in supporting the company's acquisition strategy while also providing broad in-house legal support across a range of commercial and corporate matters.

About You

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction).
• Strong experience in M&A transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents and managing deal processes.
• Experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently whilst collaborating effectively across the business.
• Experience within technology, e-commerce, consumer, retail, venture-backed or high-growth businesses would be highly desirable.
