Job summary

Major, Lindsey & Africa is recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate) for London to support a fast-growing international business at a pivotal stage. The role involves providing strategic, commercial legal advice on high-value corporate matters, including M&A, financing, governance, treasury and ESG, with close collaboration across senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in UK, US or other common law jurisdiction.
• Approximately 6+ years' PQE in corporate/M&A.
• Experience from leading law firm or in-house legal team.

• Advise on corporate governance, treasury, investor relations, restructurings and ESG matters.
• Partner with senior leaders to deliver practical, solutions-focused legal advice.

Senior Legal Counsel (Corporate) | London

An exciting opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer to join a high-growth, international business at a pivotal stage of its journey.

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a key role advising on complex, high-value corporate matters including M&A, equity and debt financings, strategic investments, corporate governance, treasury, ESG, and other business-critical initiatives. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you'll provide commercially focused legal advice that enables growth while managing risk.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading strategic corporate transactions including M&A, investments and financing projects
• Advising on corporate governance, treasury, investor relations, restructurings and ESG matters
• Partnering with senior business leaders to deliver practical, solutions-focused legal advice
• Managing external counsel and supporting legal process improvements

What we're looking for:

• UK, US or other common law qualified lawyer
• Around 6+ years' PQE with strong corporate/M&A experience
• Background in a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team
• Excellent commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and take ownership of complex projects
