NEW HYBRID/REMOTE ROLE ALERT! INTERIM CATEGORY BUYER - CAPEX!

Interim Category Buyer - CAPEX

Up to 12 months

£40,000 - £60,000 salary level (PAYE DAY RATE – this is not outside IR35)

Salary is dependant on experience

Hybrid: 2-3 days in Widnes for the first couple of months, then the role becomes REMOTE with travel to other sites across the North of England when required.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a multi-national, £bn turnover manufacturing company, in the middle of an exciting, business-critical growth project.

This role can be part-time (3-4 days per week) or full-time!

We’re looking for an Interim Category Buyer experienced in strategic procurement of CAPEX machinery/equipment and maintenance service providers, with the following background:

• Strategic experience of end-to-end tendering for new CAPEX machinery suppliers and maintenance providers
• Experience performing deep-dive spend and service analysis of current supplier networks
• Proven experience negotiating SLAs with suppliers within tight timescales
• Experience in manufacturing is essential; FMCG or Chemical sectors are highly desirable
• Managing supplier performance and resolving disputes
• Experience leveraging spend, capability, and optimizing capital investment opportunities
• Strong knowledge of general goods and services T&C’s
