Job summary

SSEN Transmission is hiring an Interface Project Manager on a permanent, full-time basis to drive the Carnaig Substation Project in Scotland. You will coordinate interfaces across multiple contractors and stakeholders, ensuring safety, cost and schedule alignment while supporting governance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex engineering, construction, utilities or infrastructure projects, including coordinating activities across multiple contractors, stakeholders or work packages.
• A strong understanding of health and safety legislation and project delivery within a regulated environment, including knowledge of CDM Regulations. A project management qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience identifying and managing project risks, resolving interface challenges and supporting the successful delivery of projects to programme and budget.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• An understanding of project controls, contract management and integrated delivery program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of activities across multiple contract and design workstreams, ensuring key interfaces are identified, managed and communicated effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
• Take ownership of the project's interface management arrangements, working closely with contractors, designers and stakeholders to maintain alignment and support successful delivery.
• Proactively identify and resolve interface issues that could impact programme, cost, safety or quality, supporting timely decision-making and minimising project risk.
• Support the management and reporting of project risks and opportunities, working collaboratively with project teams to develop practical mitigation measures.
• Contribute to project governance activities and support the successful delivery of a nationally significant infrastructure project that will help strengthen Scotland's electricity network.
