Job summary

The Scarborough Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team at Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Mental Health Clinician for a 9 month secondment. You will provide intensive home treatment, triage via telephone, and partnership with service users and families to prevent hospital admission.

The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team, applying recovery-focused, evidence-based approaches, and adhering to trust policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional qualification required and current professional registration.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
• Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent).
• Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area.
• MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education or willingness to work towards; must be achieved within agreed timescale.

Responsibilities

• Provide a telephone triage & support service to service users and carers who self-refer via NHS111 option 2.
• Support service users awaiting Mental Health Act Assessment in the Health Based Place of Safety.
• Work as part of the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team to deliver intensive home treatment and family support.
• Manage a defined caseload of clients experiencing an acute mental health episode using evidence-based, client-centred practice.
