Job summary

Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 clinician to cover maternity leave for 12 months in the Darlington Crisis Resolution and Intensive Home Treatment Team. The post is based at West Park Hospital, Darlington, with a 24/7 12-hour shift pattern and opportunities for supervision and professional development.

Qualifications

• Current professional registration with an approved professional body.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
• 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework
• Clinical Supervisor.
• Recognised sign-off mentor, clinical educator or equivalent.
• ITQ level 2 literacy and numeracy (or equivalent).
• Preceptorship/Competency sign-off within agreed timescale.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership of junior team members, prioritising workload and utilising resources to meet service user needs.
• Gate-keeping admissions to the acute admission wards.
• Travel across the locality with access to a suitable vehicle for business use.
• Engage in supervision and training opportunities within a multidisciplinary team.
